1. Get a good night’s sleep. 
 
Good-quality sleep slows down signs of ageing. Good-quality sleepers look twice as young as people who don’t sleep well. A good night’s sleep helps the skin to recover from stressors like sun exposure and moisture loss. Sleep strengthens the skin’s ability to repair itself overnight and prevents the skin from looking pale or from developing dark rings under the eye.  
 
Tip: Put some lavender oil your pillow. Breathing in the scent increases the acitivity of specific brainwaves that are linked to feelings of deep relaxation. You’ll wake up feeling more refreshed. 
 
2. Protect your teeth from stains
 
Avoid coffee and tea for a couple of hours after dinner. Having a cup of tea or coffee immediately after dinner can increase the chance of tooth stains.
 
Tip: Rinse your mouth with water or a flouride-based mouth rinse after each meal to neutralise acids found in food particles because acids contribute to tooth decay. 
 
3. Do more exercise
 
Doing more exercise can protect your skin from wrinkles because it reverses some of the ageing that has already occurred. 
Tip: Research shows that striving to match or better someone’s achievements can make you want to exercise more. Exercise with a buddy who is already fit or download a fitness app to track and compete against your own previous times or other people’s.
